Men and PMS: Cavemen No More!
Often, men struggle with the complete surprise of PMS. Their female family members suffered from PMS silently with under the disguise of “female issues” or “friendly visitor” to keep from explaining the monthly headaches, cramps, mood swings, and bloating that bordered on pregnancy symptoms. From the men in their families, men learn that PMS makes women unbearable for a few days a month, so they are unprepared by both sides to grow up and deal with the storm of PMS that hits with more force than a class 5 hurricane.
Because society does not prepare men to deal with the concept of PMS and all of the nasty side effects that come barreling their way like Marines storming the beach. In an effort to deal with the incredible down pour of symptoms that change the women they share their lives into multiple personality versions of Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde. One moment, the women in your life are completely rational women handling daily events and then…zappo! She is transformed into someone you don’t even know just because you suggested hot chocolate instead of coffee for breakfast. Tragedy strikes…tears flow…and you are considering that someone has missed an important dose of their medications!
In truth, most men are not experiencing a new phenomenon. PMS has been happening since the first caveman stepped out into the sunlight. There is reason that cavemen carried those big clubs…it was for protection from women who did not have chocolate or pain relievers yet!
